Bzukot – Buckwheat Honey 500 g
Buckwheat Honey – 500 g
Buckwheat honey was traditionally less common among consumers because of its distinctive, less intensely sweet flavour. Today, however, this characteristic is precisely what makes it increasingly appreciated.
It has a strong, characteristic buckwheat aroma and a naturally dark colour reminiscent of forest or honeydew honey. Its rich flavour makes it noticeably different from lighter floral honeys.
Why choose Buckwheat Honey?
This is genuine honey produced by bees collecting nectar from buckwheat flowers. Buckwheat is not added to the finished honey.
Buckwheat honey is relatively uncommon because large areas of flowering buckwheat suitable for honey production are less widespread than many other nectar sources.
Its dark colour, distinctive aroma and full-bodied flavour make it an excellent choice for people looking for a honey with considerably more character than conventional blossom honey.
Natural crystallisation
Like other natural honeys, buckwheat honey may crystallise over time. Crystallisation is a natural process and does not indicate deterioration of the honey.
If you prefer it liquid, the jar can be gently warmed in a water bath. Avoid excessive heating in order to preserve the honey’s natural characteristics.
Serving suggestions
Enjoy on its own, spread on bread or toast, or use it to sweeten yoghurt, porridge and drinks. Its strong flavour also works particularly well in cooking and baking.
